Takeaways

Food safety records built for a busy takeaway shift

Takeaways are among the food businesses whose hygiene ratings customers check most often. Trakigon helps the team complete the controls behind those standards while the kitchen is operating.

No card required. Setup must reflect your own food safety system.

Independent takeaways, fast-food shops, delivery kitchens and small multi-site operators.

Operational reality

What makes food safety management different here

01

High order peaks compress preparation, cooking, packing and handover into a small workspace.

02

Delivery adds holding time and allergen communication beyond the kitchen pass.

03

The person completing a check is often not the manager who later needs to evidence it.

Inside Trakigon

Records shaped around the work that actually happens

01

Delivery and chilling

Record checks on incoming high-risk food and keep fridge or freezer logs tied to the right equipment.

02

Cooking and hot holding

Run the checks defined in the business food safety management procedure and record corrective action.

03

Cleaning between flows

Assign clear tasks around raw food, ready-to-eat ingredients, packing and shared preparation areas.

04

Manager review

Spot missing records before they become a week of unexplained gaps in the diary.

On the floor

Short checks for the team, usable evidence for the manager

The team completes checks on mobile, including when the connection drops. Managers can review records, exceptions and corrective action by site.

UK food safety context

Software supports the system; it does not award compliance

Food business rating arrangements are not identical across the UK: FHRS operates in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, while Scotland uses FHIS. In every case, software records are only one part of what an officer observes.

Trakigon does not replace the applicable food safety management framework. SFBB applies in England and Wales, Northern Ireland uses Safe Catering guidance, and Scotland provides its own guidance such as CookSafe.

Frequently asked questions

Will using Trakigon guarantee a five food hygiene rating?

No. Digital records can improve consistency and visibility, but an officer assesses the whole operation, including actual practices, premises and management confidence.

Can a takeaway use Trakigon alongside SFBB?

Yes in England and Wales, where SFBB is applicable. Elsewhere, Trakigon can support the recurring checks from the relevant national framework, such as Safe Catering or CookSafe.

Does it work for delivery-only kitchens?

The workflows can be configured for delivery kitchens, including preparation zones, holding equipment, cleaning and traceability relevant to that operation.
